Bay of Plenty school wins rural art competition
29 Oct 2012

Each year dairy farmer cooperative, LIC and Palmerston North company, Stallion Plastics, host an art competition for rural children who participate in calf club.

This year hundreds of entries were received, but the overwhelming favourite was Whakamarama School, whose students presented a range of beautiful, colourful and original art work which wowed the judges (LIC staff and visitors).

The 39-pupil Whakamarama School won "the Peoples Choice".

The attached photograph shows the artists with their works, along with LIC Communications Manager, Clare Bayly, who visited the school to present an iPad and router.
