5% of cows contribute to 50% of Bulk Milk Somatic Cell Count (BMSCC). 

Mastitis costs the New Zealand dairy industry over $280 million every year in lost production and treatment.* 

Research now confirms a commonly-held belief that reducing mastitis can save you money. Reducing BMSCC from 212,000 cells/ml to 150,000 cells/ml can result in a gain of $31 per cow. For a herd of 315 cows, that’s a total production and management gain of over $10,000.
